Upcoming

Right now, we're in the planning stages of two more releases...

- Telephone Thing CDr (limited ed, 50) one man ATL post punk engine combines dance beats and dark post punk froth.

- Kidneys/High Marks Tape (limited ed, 65) Salt Lake post punkers meet ATL's one man minimal synth enigma.

We'll be working on those and a few other things. We're out of copies of the High Marks CDr "Closing Doors" but the Wool-e-Shop has a few for sale, and so does Stickfigure distro. We still have "Dry Marks," Femme Covert's "To Live and Cry in NC" and Skin Problems' "Meth Deth" in print and in stock.

Skin Problems' "Meth Deth" CDr

Skin Problems, aka SKN PRBLMS, Atlanta's only No(w) Wave trio finally release their demo/collection "Meth Deth" (persistentmidnight002). Spikey, brittle guitars crash into hammering bass and the technical, creative percussion as the yelps of a frontman with a true axe to grind hover somewhere amidst it all. If no wave, later day garage punk and 80s hardcore could somehow make a little baby, the screaming bastard probably would have been called Skin Problems.

The band is only doing 50 copies in their initial (and most likely only) pressing. Be sure to get yours soon.

Femme Covert "To Live and Cry in NC" CDr

North Carolina synthpunk duo Femme Covert have finally completed their new CDr, rightfully titled "To Live and Cry in NC" (persistentmidnight004) The release compiles songs from their yet unreleased vinyl split with Cantwell, Gomez and Jordan and two smoldering new tracks (including their longest and best jam yet). They will have the release on their lucrative East Coast tour, so pick one up, they're limited to 44 sweet copies. Whatever they don't sell on the road will be available through Persistentmidnight.

If you've followed Femme Covert's subtle evolution over the years, you will quickly realize the band's sound has gotten much more danceable and fun. That being said, there's no mistaking the synth driven punk rock of Femme Covert; this is still the work of two weirdo punks who love synths and screaming... synthpunxnotdead.
